Welcome to City of Chesapeake's Online Permitting System. Using this system you can submit and update information, pay fees, schedule inspections, track the status of your application, and print your final record all from the convenience of your home or office, 24 hours a day.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Online permits are an optional internet service provided by the City of Chesapeake. The use of this service is at your discretion.

An Operational Fire Code Permit associated with a special event is valid only for the City approved duration of the event, unless otherwise listed. The permit is valid only after official approval from the City and upon full compliance with all applicable Federal, State and Local laws, including any applicable City regulations and policies. Any violations of the Uniform Statewide Building Code (USBC) or the Statewide Fire Prevention Code (SFPC) may result in an automatic suspension or revocation of this permit. The City shall not be liable for economic loss, costs, damages, or under any cognizable theory of liability, in the event that the permit is revoked or suspended for the reasons stated herein. The owner or person authorized to act on behalf of the owner who is accepting this permit is agreeing to comply with, in addition to the foregoing requirements, the SFPC and the USBC. If for any reason this permit is revoked or deemed invalid it must be immediately and without undue delay, surrendered to the Fire Marshal's Office.

This permit must be kept on the premises designated therein at all times in an area that is visible to the public, and shall be readily available for inspection by the Fire Code Official. This permit is not transferrable and any changes in location or ownership shall require a new permit.

Applicants should receive notice of approval, disapproval, or a request for additional material or information from City staff.
